Overnight, Russian aerial assaults have caused power cuts in extensive areas of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were wounded while local people in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and faced problems to water systems, as stated by municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a young boy was killed in a separate assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the country's south-east, based on information from area administrators.

Moscow has increased attacks on electrical systems over recent weeks, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "concrete actions" from international partners to increase pressure on Russia.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 missiles targeted energy facilities, characterizing such strikes as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

Government representatives said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were laboring to fix the damage.

A series of attacks struck electrical systems and residential structures in the capital.

Five out of the nine people injured in the attacks on the capital have been hospitalized, as confirmed by municipal representatives.
