I'll stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers engaged in the customary stare-down, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually happening.
